Anxiety can feel overwhelming, exhausting, and hard to switch off, especially when it starts affecting sleep, work, relationships, or everyday situations.
Many people come to see me after trying to manage anxiety on their own, or after other therapies haven’t given them the change they were hoping for.
Here are some examples of how anxiety has been affecting my clients, and how things have changed for them.

Driving anxiety

After a few sessions with Anna my son needed picking up from an airport on the south coast and I thought it was a good opportunity for me to push myself. I was able to drive for over 5 hours to collect him and his friend and was amazed at how much easier I found it. How hypnotherapy helped my anxiety
I discovered Solution Focused Hypnotherapy at a time when I was really struggling with anxiety. I felt like anxiety was impacting every part of my life. My thoughts were constantly filled with dread and I couldn't imagine not feeling fearful about everything. If I am honest I don't even know whether I believed that hypnotherapy could help me, I was just prepared to try anything.
I felt huge relief when my hypnotherapist explained why I was feeling these negative emotions and how I could take steps to change how I was feeling, and everything suddenly made sense. I have since helped many other people who have been experiencing anxiety.
Lasting change
The changes are permanent, it isn't just a sticking plaster. This is because we learn how to do things differently and by making changes we then have the confidence that this will last because we know what to do if things become difficult.
How we work together
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy sessions are very effective at reducing anxiety. We focus on how we can change our thoughts to change the way we feel. We can also look at situations that might be particularly challenging and find ways to better manage these times. It is a step by step approach and there is no magic wand, it is essential that clients take an active part in therapy by participating in sessions, listening to the relaxation track and attending regular sessions.
By collaborating together in sessions and putting into practice ways to cope you can grow in confidence knowing that these changes have come about due to what you have done. This is very helpful in building confidence for the future, knowing that you can cope in situations that may arise. For anxiety the number of sessions needed will vary based on your personal situation, but eight sessions gives a good foundation through repeated positive messaging. Some people may need less and some may need more. I have had clients who have found three sessions have been enough and other clients choose to continue to see me as they find ongoing sessions beneficial. It is always your choice whether you feel you will benefit from more sessions.

Initial Consultation (50mins) £70
In this session we will talk about how anxiety might be impacting your life and how life would be different if you were not experiencing anxiety. We look at why we feel anxiety, how it is necessary for our survival in the right situation, and learning how to turn it off when it's not needed. We will also talk about steps that you can take right now to start to improve life and I will explain how hypnotherapy sessions may help you. I will also give you my relaxation track.
Hypnotherapy sessions (50mins) £70
In the initial consultation we will discuss how hypnotherapy sessions are run and how they may help you. We also talk about how many sessions are most likely needed but this will vary and may not be evident until we have started our sessions and seen how quickly progress is made. It will always be up to you whether to book another session.
Possibly one of the most difficult things about anxiety is how it can feed off itself. I want to reassure you that it is possible to find a way out of anxiety and it is even better if it is a result of things that you do. There is no magic wand, there doesn't need to be, it is possible to discover ways to achieve it yourself, you may just need some help to get there.
